Digital Energy Work

Digital Energy Work applies the counter-colonial principles and practices of Transgressive Medicine to our digital lives.

Grounding, boundaries and protections are critical elements of any counter-colonial sacred energy practice, whether we're practicing breathwork, meditation, palm-healing, herbal magick, or other forms of sacred connection.

Many energy practitioners understand intuitively (often before developing the skills) that we must integrate some way of remaining centered and connected to our own sense of safety when engaging with the volatility of our minds, hearts, and spirits — especially where trauma is involved. These protective skills allow us to take more risk (e.g. finally addressing a traumatic experience) while experiencing fewer negative consequences (e.g. stimulating the nervous system beyond our own ability to calm it).

Zel began facilitating digital energy work in 2024 to help their comrades align their stated abolitionist values with their digital lives in a way that honors how spiritually disruptive it can be to establish an aligned digital presence under fascism.
